CSL is a recognized leader of plating and coating solutions for technology, aerospace, medical, and energy companies. We offer more than 40 different plating processes, which exemplifies why our customers do business with us: our capacity for innovation. We have also upgraded our quality system to become the only NADCAP-certified chemical processing company in Northern California.

Founded in 1986 by Naishadh Saraiya and Shirish Desai, the company has continually expanded its capabilities by adding new processes, commissioning new equipment, and employing the latest technologies to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs.

CSL Milestones

1986 Founded as AA Plating in Santa Clara, California
1987 Reincorporated as CSL, Inc.
1990 Opens Class-100 clean room facilities
1992 Begins offering Dicronite® dry film lubricant process
1994 Begins offering proprietary Ni-Lube™ electroless nickel with Teflon composite coating
1996 Begins offering industry’s first cadmium replacement coating to meet all parameters of MIL-C-85049 for connectors
2000 Receives Industry of the Year Award from the California Water Environment Association
2003 Expands process capabilities to include difficult-to-plate materials.
2004 Automates bead blasting process to ensure consistent and uniform finishes on even the most complex surfaces
2006 Approved for JSF component coating, a very difficult operating environment;
CSL is one of the only two such approved facilities in the U.S.
2009 Receives NADCAP Accreditation, becoming the only Northern California plating company with this certification
